Fabulous!!! This is our second visit to LMDF and it won’t be our last for sure. Ian and Hugh are such lovely hosts and the care and detail they provide is what made our visits special. We have stayed in many villas in France and this is without doubt our favourite.

The pool, spa and garden are beautiful with facilities to match throughout.

We wanted to find a large luxurious house, full of character, peaceful location, stunning views and a private pool. Le Manoir des Fouilloux was all of these and more. The interior of the house would sit perfectly in a design magazine yet it was comfortable and homely. The gardens were stunning and we have been inspired by the design and planting. We will always remember our family dinners on the patio overlooking the pool and gardens – memories have been made. The hosts, Ian and Hugh, were completely delightful – always ready to offer help and local advice but were discreet and gave us complete privacy. We hope to return and would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

We had a great time at the manor. The house is fantastic and wants for nothing and the pool area and gardens are great. The owners Ian and Hugh couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. The surrounding area has lots to offer with the Sunday Market and restaurants in Aubterre particularly recommended . We will be back.

Ian and Hugh are exceptional hosts unlike anywhere else. Nestled in the enchanting French countryside with breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere, Le Manoir des Fouilloux exceeds all expectations.

The spacious en-suite rooms are tastefully decorated with plenty of space in the communal areas inside and outside of the house itself. We spent hours of an evening catching up over a glass of wine on the terrace whilst overlooking the swimming pool and miles of local land in complete peace.

With many highlights of our stay, one of which was the swimming pool given the heatwave we experienced during our stay. Plus there are plenty of sun beds and seats around the pool (we were a family of 6) making it an incredibly relaxing stay.

Another highlight was locally where we thoroughly enjoyed visiting St Emilion, a lovely drive through the vineyards led us to a wonderful day out. We explored the town’s cobbled streets, popped into the unique independent shops and visited the historic landmarks with beautiful views. We may have purchased a few bottles of local wine!

Ian and Hugh go above and beyond to make a stay at Le Manoir memorable. Their warm welcome and helpful tips on the local area added a personal touch that made us feel at home as soon as we arrived.

Le Manoir is a true gem and it’s Ian and Hugh that make it so.
