Owners Hugh Steward and his partner Ian Kenworthy have lovingly restored Le Manoir des Fouilloux to its former glory over the past four years. Ian and Hugh now bring their passion for hospitality, service and style to the Dordogne.

Ian’s hospitality career has spanned 35 years. He started out in hotel management in London, and graduated into managing restaurants in the City and West End. Ian ended his career as general manager of the world-renowned Reform Club in London’s Pall Mall.

As an NHS manager and board director, Hugh had a passion for providing world class environments and services for patients and staff. Hugh worked at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, the Royal Marsden, King’s College Hospital and Newham University Hospital. In each role, he used his influence to win design awards for inspirational buildings and gardens.

Both Hugh and Ian are passionate about food, gardening and interior design. They are committed to working with nature to secure a sustainable footprint in rural France. They love art, music and allow creativity to be a dominant factor in their lives. They have travelled extensively and understand the true meaning of first class service.
