We stayed at the very beautiful

Les manoir fouilloux for two weeks this summer.

It was a perfect place for 3 generations of our family ( plus 3 labradors) to stay together.

The accommodation was ideal, plenty room for all of us and a fabulous cottage for a grandparent retreat.

The outdoor dining/ kitchen was wonderful, we had such lovely evenings barbecuing and then eating the food we’d bought at local markets.

We treated ourselves to Ian and Hugh’s fantastic cooking on a few occasions. Definitely recommended.

The gardens, pool and hot tub were used constantly, and being all fenced in was great for the children and dogs.

The location is peaceful , the surrounding countryside just beautiful.

Ian and Hugh were great hosts

and did everything to make us feel welcome and looked after us during our stay.

Highly recommended.

My stay at Le Manoir was nothing short of magical. This stunning property captivates from the moment you enter, with its meticulously kept grounds that promise a serene retreat. Hosts Ian and Hugh have an exceptional knack for hospitality, ensuring that every need is met with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. The recommendations provided by our hosts, from local dining to activities, were impeccable and tailored to our interests, enhancing our visit with personalised touches.

I cannot recommend Le Manoir highly enough for anyone looking for a truly special getaway. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle or a luxurious base to explore the local culture, Le Manoir exceeds expectations. This place is not just a stay; it’s an experience that will leave you longing to return.

Fabulous!!! This is our second visit to LMDF and it won’t be our last for sure. Ian and Hugh are such lovely hosts and the care and detail they provide is what made our visits special. We have stayed in many villas in France and this is without doubt our favourite.

The pool, spa and garden are beautiful with facilities to match throughout.

We wanted to find a large luxurious house, full of character, peaceful location, stunning views and a private pool. Le Manoir des Fouilloux was all of these and more. The interior of the house would sit perfectly in a design magazine yet it was comfortable and homely. The gardens were stunning and we have been inspired by the design and planting. We will always remember our family dinners on the patio overlooking the pool and gardens – memories have been made. The hosts, Ian and Hugh, were completely delightful – always ready to offer help and local advice but were discreet and gave us complete privacy. We hope to return and would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

We had a great time at the manor. The house is fantastic and wants for nothing and the pool area and gardens are great. The owners Ian and Hugh couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. The surrounding area has lots to offer with the Sunday Market and restaurants in Aubterre particularly recommended . We will be back.
